The Sant Jordi Group was born in 1999, and is dedicated to the temporary accommodation of guests and students, with the mission of providing a comprehensive service of accommodation and hospitality, with good prices and personalized attention, to people of all ages who would like to stay in the city of Barcelona.
Initially the Group focused on students attending college on grounds of
Internet services, maintenance, cleaning, etc. This activity, which continues to be of the branches of the group, under the denomination of Sant Jordi Pisos Universitaris.
In 2003, the Group decided to take a step forward and created the first youth hostel in the chain, Sant Jordi Alberg. This hostel welcomed guests traveling alone and in small groups, who were staying shorter times in Barcelona and therefore, had different needs in regards to information and the type of personalized attention given.
Over the years, the Group began growing and vigorously developing this branch of activity, thus creating Sant Jordi Hostels. We are now a chain of prestige hostels recognized worldwide. After modernizing the initial hostels that created the chain, Sant Jordi Hostels is now made up of four hostels, which are located in different points around Barcelona.
In 2017 we took a step further in internationalizing our consolidated business model, based on the success of the Sant Jordi Hostels chain with partners sharing our philosophy: “more than a hostel, a life experience” that has led us to be known as one of the best hostel chains in the world.
